令和5年12月に閣議決定された「幼児期までのこどもの育ちに係る基本的なビジョン（はじめの100か月の育ちビジョン）」は、こどもの誕生前から幼児期までの「はじめの100か月」が、生涯にわたるウェルビーイングの基盤を形成する重要な時期であるとの認識の下、社会全体でこどもの育ちを支えていくことの重要性を示したものです。
諸外国においても、こどもの誕生前から幼児期までのこどもの育ちを支えるための取組が進められており、本ビジョンはこうした国際的な潮流も踏まえて策定されています。
本シンポジウムでは、OECDや諸外国の政府関係者等をお招きし、こどもの育ちを支える国際的な政策動向や各国の具体的な取組についてご紹介いただき、登壇者によるパネルディスカッションを実施します。
国内外の最新の知見に触れ、「はじめの100か月」のこどもの育ちを社会全体で支えるための新たな視点や気づきを得る機会として、ぜひご参加ください。

International Symposium on “The Vision for the First 100 Months of Development”
Hosted by the Children and Families Agency
The “Basic Vision for the Development of Children Up to Early Childhood (The Vision for the First 100 Months of Development)”was adopted by the Cabinet in December 2023. The Vision recognizes that the “first 100 months,” from before birth through early childhood, are a crucial period that lays the foundation for lifelong well-being. It also highlights the importance of society as a whole working together to support children’s development.
Countries around the world are also taking action to support children’s development from before birth through early childhood. The Vision was developed in light of these international trends.
At this symposium, representatives from the OECD and government officials from other countries will present international policy trends and specific initiatives in their countries for supporting children’s development. A panel discussion with the speakers will follow. We warmly invite you to join us. This is an opportunity to learn about the latest insights from Japan and abroad, and to gain new perspectives on how society as a whole can support children during the “first 100 months.”
