IT-PMO

Service Overview

The complexity of project management significantly increases when facing large-scale development (Big Bang), ordering from multiple vendors (split procurement), and a shortage of PM talents, highlighting the necessity for a PMO (Project Management Office).

Our company focuses on large-scale multi-vendor development projects, working closely with project owners to ensure the completion of projects as a PMO.

The core activity of a PMO is "to cycle the PDCA towards the project's goals," mainly providing the following services:

Planning (Project Plan Formulation)
In large-scale projects involving many stakeholders, it's essential to unify the overall project awareness. We make the project's background, objectives, scope, schedule, structure, and management rules visible and deploy them across the entire project.

We also often hear from clients who have faced significant issues in past projects or are currently encountering problems during project progress. In such cases, we first assess the project plan and its operational status, assist in formulating revision policies, and revise the project plan.

Monitoring (Understanding Project Status)
It's crucial to detect project issues early and take corrective actions, especially when projects do not always proceed as planned. We establish a system for monitoring the project status from multiple perspectives, including schedule, progress, issues, risks, quality, and specification changes, to create a well-informed environment.

Placing PMO staff who delve into each system's status to grasp the actual situation on the ground is also considered effective.

Shooting (Problem Resolution Promotion)
When problems affecting the entire project arise, stakeholders often end up in a so-called "matchmaking" situation. Upon detecting such issues, the PMO proactively picks them up, presents options for resolution, involves stakeholders responsible for solving them, and promotes problem-solving.

Reporting (Reporting to Management)
Reporting the project plan, status, issues, and risks at a level that management needs to understand is required to prompt necessary decision-making. We support the creation of documents for regular management reporting, steering committees, and various reports for management.
